It's not classic-oriented, but you can feel the breath of classic style via the Serif font, some thin lines, grey color, ... Colors and Fonts

Because Vilva theme uses pastel colors like pastel grey and some cool light grey minor elements, I think you should use images with a similar tone to create harmony in the appearance of your site.

Such use of color promises to make you feel extremely peaceful and calm while it gives your site a sweet and girly style.

As I mentioned, Serif font makes Vilva free theme a bit classic. But the author didn't overuse it. He combined the EB Garamond with Nunito Sans to make the free blog theme readable and very clear.

Header Media

Now that I know you can see how attractive the first screen area is with the beautiful slider and headers, I will review the header media.

In three demos of Vilva free blog theme, you see no video in the header area, right? You shouldn't miss this feature because Viva supports displaying a video besides a slider. And it's here:

I reviewed different video sizes but the frame is still the same: full-screen and very amazing! I believe that it will make your site stand out so, try it!

Footer Area

Call it "footer" but actually, there are also a newsletter subscription and an Instagram slider there. The author really knows how to paint it with the harmonious pastel color, but the footer widget seems to be a bit messy. You can see the use of so many lines makes this effect.

Responsive Design of Vilva Theme

Vilva free WordPress theme looks great on all devices so you don't have to worry about the responsive design.

Vilva is one of the easiest to set up WordPress blog themes I have reviewed. Just install it and then, you will have a "sketch" for even the features that haven't had content like the slider and featured content area. In that way, you have a good foundation for your site and the work of setting up and customization is much simpler. Here is the screenshot right after I install Vilva.

Besides all the built-in features for a blog above, Vilvo supports its own Instagram slider and newsletter subscription feature through some recommended plugins.

I think that this free blog theme has all the necessary features for you to grow a thriving and successful blog.

What I think most about Vilva customization is that it illustrates the layout options with images so it's easier for me to choose one.

The second favorite stuff of mine is the Social Link section - so simple and quick to deal with. The icons are available in Vilva list so that you can easily choose one here - no need to copy code or link to have them. Moreover, it seems that you can add as many icons as you want. I tried adding 10 items and it's okay.

Next, although there are only 2 color options, you can choose any color you want and it shows up properly.

Similarly with family fonts. The number of family fonts is limited but it's simple to select a needed font from the drop-down menu like this.

I experienced 2 mistakes with Gutenberg blocks while using Vilva. First, the gallery on the front end and back end displays differently.

While on the front end, it's not organized well.

And secondly, the video and gallery block stick together on the front end.

While it displays normally on the back end.

SEO optimization is very important so I checked this feature carefully with some tools. However, the result indicated that this free blog theme hasn't been totally SEO friendly yet. So I think you should install an SEO plugin when using this theme.

How about the speed? I have to say that this free WordPress blog theme is a bit slow. But it still depends on other factors when you use it.
