General design

All the elements are well-blended and well-organized, giving a very comfortable and friendly feeling. Overall, this full-width theme is clean, simple and intuitive.

Other elements

The color palette includes light neutral colors like light grey, light brown, light blue, black and white. And thanks to the perfect combination and reasonable use of these colors, Bayn becomes extremely decent, classic and friendly.

GretaThemes uses only one basic family font: Roboto. It's legible, straightforward and coincided with the general spirit of Bayn.

The full-screen slider is so attractive in the first time I visit this theme, I admit that. But I was more impressed by the hover navigation: there is no slider navigation, but when you hover your mouse to the left or right side, your mouse will turn to navigation. That design helps to minimize the distracting elements on the first screen area but still lets the users switch to the other sliders properly. I think that makes Bayn very distinctive from the other themes.

This theme is grid-based so readers can quickly scan and skim the content. The layout style in the demo is also the default one and it's so good to use that you don't need to require any other. Moreover, I guess that if you are a still user, you will love the fact that you will feel very calm with no animation in this theme.

Plus, the featured images on a blog are large and prominent without the post excerpt. Thereby, I believe that design is extremely suitable when you want to focus on image more than post.

However, I find one matter when the featured images have different sizes. Because it will automatically showcase the images with the original size, you should choose the images carefully to avoid unbalanced design as I did here.

Next, everything on the front page looks nice and reasonable, except for the Intro Page. The chosen page displays all the content, even images of this page so you should add Page Break in order not to make this area too lengthy.

The inner pages are embellished by the full-width stunning header image or featured post image as for the single post page. Generally, the other elements are slimline, sleek and harmonious.

Responsive

On any device or screen, this WordPress business theme looks perfect and reasonable. Especially, the slider is as stunning as you see in the demo regardless of how different the viewports are.

This theme is easy to install and set up. After you install, this WordPress business theme can run smoothly without any enclosed plugin.

One-click demo import isn't compatible with this theme so you have to manually set it up. First, you should install Jetpack in the recommended actions. It will give you the Featured content and Related Post.

Then, as a business theme, it requires you to choose a static homepage, which can be done easily in the Customizer. The rest of your work can be done simply in the Customizer, except for the featured content. You have to use both the Dashboard and Customizer to add a tag name for this area.

Because this is a free version, the list of features for a business theme still lacks Testimonial and Portfolio. However, all these available features, both basic and advanced ones, are adequated to use. Especially, the Featured Slider and Call to Action plays an important role to make your website more effective and beautiful.

It's very easy to use the Customizer to edit all the custom things here. The list of custom features is not so long but enough for you to personalize and change the look of your theme to some extent.

Besides, as I said before, using the Dashboard to add featured post slider is very simple. By that method, the number of sliders is not restricted so you can add any post you want here. But you should know that the content and title of the post is are shown directly on the slider. Therefore, you should use the Page Break in the Edit Post to shorten the content.

You have just a few choices to change the color so your website can't be as colorful as you may imagine. But you are able to add a background image to make your page more creative.

The most important section for me is the Theme Options. It's where you can edit the front page's elements quickly and see the preview directly.

It allows you to choose pages and only four items for the Services area, but I think it's enough to use. Plus, you should add enough four items. Otherwise, there is a blank space left on the right, looking so empty.

This is the sample for the Call To Action area. You should use the shortcode like this to have similar texts like this.

Last but not least, this WordPress business theme has two widget areas like most of the other themes: footer and sidebar. All the common widgets from WordPress can be rendered properly.

All the frequently used post formats are available and easy to use when you create and edit posts.

The gallery is well-arranged even when the images inside it have different sizes.

I used some tools to check SEO and realized that Bayn hasn't been well optimized for SEO yet. Luckily, the author suggests Slim SEO and it makes SEO works perfectly on your website. You just need to install and activate Slim SEO easily as the other plugins.

As for speed, I used PageSpeed Insights to check. It's good to see that the result nearly reaches the excellent level: 88/100.

There is very detailed and helpful documentation with all theme-related issues from the author. It's written with step-by-step and comprehensive, understandable guides. However, that documentation is for the Pro version so you should be careful to filter the instructions for this free version.

This theme support every user via a free support ticket system. In the WordPress support forum, I don't see any response from the theme author so I guess they don't support here.
