BlogEasy Theme Review
BlogEasy is a WordPress Blog theme from ThemesPoint. This is one of the simplest themes to use with a clean, bright and modern appearance.
It's compatible with SEO and Gutenberg editor.
General design
This theme looks like a magazine put on a table. All the content, header, footer and sidebar are on the magazine while the table can be seen in 2 sides of the magazine.
The designer built this theme primarily from straight lines and dashed lines. The dashed lines are used to separate and decorate the theme. They aim at drawing your eyes on the theme, and they are even made to be slim and light in order not to become glitzy.
In general, BlogEasy brings about a sense of neatness, brightness, and comfort.
Other elements
The colors of this WordPress Blog theme are the cool color: black, white, light grey and blue. These colors give a sense of calmness. To make the white background color of the magazine less dazzling, the grey color of the table is born. From my point of view, this combination of color is very comfortable for my eyes.
Barlow and Barlow Semi Condensed are 2 kinds of the font in this theme. They are both sans-serif font so the texts are very legible and straightforward.
All the posts in the blog are put in a list structure. The special thing about it is the very large featured images. These images play an important role in catching the reader's attention and making the theme so attractive.
The header also keeps the main criteria: as simple as possible, but still has the necessary factors of a blog like a menu bar and title. The menu bar has a different color and stretches across the magazine to make an emphasis.
There is no footer column in the demo, just the copyright text on a dark grey background. I wonder why they don't use the blue color here to follow the menu bar color. Yet it still looks okay.
The single post page is extremely airy and smooth. Here they have colorful social sharing icons, the related post, page navigator...Because these elements are well-organized and look so spacious, they can avoid messing up this page. But I still wish that there would be featured images in the related post to make this page more attractive and less empty.
Responsive
You don't have to worry about the theme display on different devices. It has a responsive design so it looks fine without any mistake on PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone. You can see the design checked by ami.responsivedesign.is.
This theme doesn't have one-click demo import. That explains why your website won't look like the demo after you install this WordPress theme. You have to set up your website in a traditional way in the Customize but it's very simple. Especially, when you already have content for your website, you just need little time and effort to set it up.

It's not a feature-rich theme so you just have enough features for a simple blog. There is no plugin in the suggested action so you have to find plugins yourself to have more features.
You just can custom color, header image, background image, widgets. The number of changeable sections is still limited. To write this WordPress themes review, I've applied all the custom features to my website and see that I can change them easily in Customize.
First of all, I find that there are only 2 sections for the custom color: header title and background color of the table. If you install the Kirki Customizer Framework, there is 1 more Primary color to change. The palate is unlimited so that you can freely select your favorite color.
Or you can choose an image and set it as the table background and make it fit with the site.
To make your WordPress blog more attractive, a header image will be a good idea. It says that I can crop the image to make a perfect fit, but my image doesn't show up with the size that I crop. So I guess that the header image just has the default size like this
This theme doesn't have any footer column so you just can add widgets to the sidebar. All the basic widget of WordPress blog theme can be rendered properly here. It doesn't have a different layout or position for the sidebar either.
The basic post formats for a blog like a blockquote, gallery, video, file, cover...are available in this theme. They are all shown up very nicely.
The blockquote has 2 styles and they almost look assemble. Compared to the normal text, it is different but not so unique.
The video is inserted that way.
The images in the gallery are arranged neatly even though they have unequal sizes.
I checked the SEO configuration with some tools. The result shows that this theme is effectively customized for SEO.
This WordPress blog theme has a medium speed. When you use it on a computer, the speed is higher than it is on a mobile device. I think it's not excellent but still acceptable.
At present, I can't find the documentation of this theme. Maybe they will update it later.
I couldn't find any kind of support in the ThemesPoint homepage. In the WordPress support forum, no topic is created now so I don't know if they support here.
The Verdict
If you want a simple and ready-to-use WordPress blog theme for a beginner, you can try BlogEasy. But the list of feature is limited so you should consider carefully. To have more features, you can upgrade to the Pro version.
