Bogaty Lite Theme Review

General design

This free WordPress theme focuses mainly on cleanness and elegance. Hence, every aspect is built to be magically harmonious with one another. It can make you feel like listening to a sweet-sounding symphony when everything blends and becomes one. But sometimes, some special elements appear as the high voice of a singer rises, bringing about the power and the majestic at the same time.

Dark blue and grey color is the one of the core contributory factors creating the elegance of Bogaty. Morover, they even make the appearance really classic and cool.

GretaThemes use only one family font - Raleway - with different styles in different parts very reasonably. This elegant sans-serif typeface is easy to read and makes me feel "light" and "soft".

This theme has a beautiful and stunning homepage displaying amazing and powerful features. The free version doesn't have the Testimonials and Portfolio like you see in the demo but you can still have beautiful things like Featured Posts, Client Section, Service, Call To Action. Service and Post section are grid-based so that the reader can quickly scan and skim the content of these parts. They are all well-organized and look extremely airy, leading to relaxation while reading.

The most intriguing design lies in the call to action and footer area. These areas are the special prominece given to the design. The background of 2 areas are dark blue with 2 different shades. Hence, they looks both decent and cool, and also create an emphasis at the end of the page.

Other extraordinary characters of this theme are the full-screen hero image with parallax effect and the sticky menu. I really love the hero image as it makes the first screen very lively and attractive.

Now lets move to other pages. The archive page shows all posts in a lists. The featured image is very large to attract people at the first look. This layout is the default one, I find it's good enough so changing is unnecessary. As for the single post page, all the elements are well-arranged and looks spacious, giving me a sense of "flow" and "sleek".

Finally, I find the sidebar appears on every page except the homepage. I think it's very reasonable as the homepage already contains enough features so the existence of a sidebar may make it quite glitzy. The sidebar is also very nice and decent when individual widgets are put on individual grey tab like this.

It's very simple to install and set up this free WordPress theme. You can use it instantly after activating and set it up easily to make it look like the demo. The one-click demo import is just available in the demo so you have to manually set up in this free theme. All the needed actions can be done in the Customizer. Notably, you have to choose a static front page to show the advanced features here. And remember that this free version isn't compatible with advanced features like Testimonials and Portfolio so your homepage can't totally resemble the demo homepage.

With the help of powerful Customizer, you can create and edit all the custom features, from the basic to the advanced ones easily.

After setting the static page as the homepage, the Theme Options gives you many options for the advanced features.

The Client area is where you can show off your close clients here by choosing an image. But this image can't be resized so you should crop it before uploading.

The Featured Sections displays the most prominent page of yours. The page title and its full content will appear here so you should choose the page carefully in order not to make this area too long.

There are 3 default columns for the service area so you should choose 3 or 6 pages to make it balanced, rather than leave a blank space as I did here.

The Service has up to 6 pages for you to freely show your services here. But I still wonder why they just allow the user to choose pages only, not single posts.

How about the basic features? Apart from the header image, all of them can be changed properly. I set up the header image but it is invalid in this theme. And I think you should notice that the hero image is not the header image but the featured image of the page that is set as the front page. Moreover, the button in the hero image of the demo requires additional CSS so a non-coder like me don't know how to add it.

The color only gives you one section but it has an unlimited number of colors for you to choose from.

Customizing color

There are 2 widget areas: sidebar and footer for you to add any common widget from WordPress. Especially, the Bogaty Recent posts widget is prettier than the Recent posts widget from WordPress as I compare theme here.

Last words, there are 3 default columns to add widgets in the footer. It's not auto justified so you should add 3, 6, or 9...widget to make it look better.

You can create various kinds of posts thanks to many post formats provided. I bet that even a beginner can quickly learn how to use all the formats in a few hours.

The gallery displays very nicely. If you look closely, you will see the small rhombuses in the corner of each image. That show how careful and delicate the author is.

I checked the SEO configuration and see that this theme has successfully optimized for SEO.

The speed was checked by PageSpeed Insights. It indicates that the speed is not excellent but still quite good.
