General design

The design, in general, is fancy, dark and robust. All the elements are vivid and intuitive that give a strong impression to me for the first time.

The background color of the special elements on the homepage is black, which gives me a sense of mystery and robustness. The patterns on the background are also innovative and it coincided with the bold and daring style of this theme. But if you don't like this dark style, it's impossible to change the background color of this area.

The other areas look brighter with white background and black texts to boost the reading efficiency.

The author uses up to three typefaces: Oswald, Roboto, Arial. But they are all san-serif so they look pretty similar. Therefore, they can avoid distracting each other. They are also readable, intuitive and robust as the main spirit of the theme.

Overall, you can't change the layout of the whole page, the style of each element or even the position of the sidebar. The header is quite unsymmetrical if the menu is quite long as I did here. And this first screen area contains the sticky menu and sliders instead of a video like a demo. But it's still very attractive with the full-screen beautiful featured slider.

On the other page, a header image that looks like a band can be chosen to appear. So, it helps to embellish the header area and makes these pages become less boring. Then, I find the featured images of the single pages are so small. The featured image lies with the body texts so I can't even distinguish between it and the other single images inside the post.

The archive page has the list structure. This page looks quite modest with the small thumbnails.

Responsive

This WordPress photography is shown perfectly on all kinds of screens. That means the design looks reasonable and nice in tablet, PC, smartphone or any screen.

This theme supports one-click demo import. Go to Documentation and you have all the necessary instruction to install Demo Import plugin and download the demo data easily. After that, you can quickly import your theme's live demo content and widgets but fail to import the setting and media. That's why when finishing the importing process, your website doesn't look like the demo. You still need to manually set up the static homepage and front page elements in the Customizer as well as choosing the featured images for the posts.

This free version covers all the common features for a WordPress photograph. But the extraordinary things like Testimonial, Background Video or Call to Action like in the demo are only available with the premium version.

With the Customizer, users can edit all the custom aspects simply. Especially, you don't need to create posts for Service or Portfolio, just select pages in the dropdown menu in the Customizer. Each element on the homepage can be enabled/disabled quickly by one click.

However, the number of items for each section is quite limited in the free version. For example, you just have three pages to show in the slider and four items in the Portfolio. Plus, you just can choose pages, not posts, which somewhat restricts your options.

It's also simple to add social links and beautiful icons to the header. But the maximum number of default URLs are only four.

The header image forces you to use the default frame so you have to resize your image before uploading to have the best fit.

There are all the common post formats for you to easily create and edit. They help your posts so diverse and unique.

This WordPress photography has not been search-engine-friendly yet. I know that after using some special tools to check the SEO optimization.

As for the speed, I used PageSpeed Insights to test. It reports that the speed is so low, under medium.
